The SAA1280 is a control and tuning IC for TV receivers. The SAA1280 offers a very economic solution for the control, station selection by voltage synthesis tuning, band selection and station display in CTV sets with average degree of operation comfort.

SAA1280 features: (1)All controls actuated by 28 pushbuttons; (2)Three bandswitch outputs, plus VCR switch output; (3)Four analog outputs; (4)Four-way multi-standard switch; (5)1 1/2 digit station display; (6)Muting during change of station or band; (7)Four tuning speeds; (8)Tuning voltage generation with rate multiplier; (9)Simple external circuitry.
